The CS Compositi Standard

From spec to finished part

Every CS Compositi part starts with a spec we design and engineer ourselves — modelled directly off the OEM plastic it replaces. Production is handled by a specialized carbon fibre manufacturing partner, and every single part is quality-checked by our own team in Sweden before it ships to you. Here's what that process actually involves, and why it's built the way aerospace and motorsport parts are, not the way most aftermarket carbon is.

Prepreg vs. wet layup

Most aftermarket "carbon" parts are wet layup: dry cloth is hand-laid into a mould and resin is brushed or poured on top. It's cheap and fast, but resin distribution is inconsistent from part to part, which means variable strength and a duller finish. We spec every CS Compositi part to a higher standard.

The process

    Cutting & layup

    3K prepreg carbon sheets are cut to pattern and laid into precision moulds ply by ply, matching the exact geometry of the OEM part they replace.

    Vacuum bagging

    The layup is sealed under a vacuum bag to remove trapped air and compact the plies before curing — the step that prevents the bubbling and delamination seen in cheaper parts.

    Autoclave curing

    The part is cured under heat and pressure in an autoclave — the same process used for motorsport and aviation components — for maximum fibre-to-resin ratio and structural strength.

    CNC trimming

    Excess material is trimmed on CNC-guided fixtures so every mounting hole and edge lines up with the original OEM hardware — no drilling, no grinding, no adapters.

    Incoming quality control

    Before any part ships to a customer, our own team in Sweden inspects it by hand — checked for fitment, finish, and structural integrity. Parts that don't meet our spec don't go out.

    Shipped from Sweden

    Every order is dispatched from our warehouse in Sweden, with tracking included — most of Europe sees it within 3–5 business days.

Why it matters

A 40–60% weight reduction per panel isn't just a spec on a page — it's less rotating and reciprocating mass, which means quicker steering response and less arm pump over a long stage or a long ride. But none of that matters if the part doesn't fit. That's why every piece we spec is engineered to bolt directly onto the original mounting points of the bike it's built for, and checked by hand before it ever reaches you.
